By MAIMBO MWEEMBA
The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has pledged support to the Ministry of Green Economy and Environment in the formulation of the Green Growth Strategy, Carbon trading, and Nationally Determined Contribution, among others.

UNDP Resident Representative Lionel Laurens made the commitment when he paid a courtesy call on Green Economy and Environment Minister Collins Nzovu in Lusaka.

Mr Laurens also assured of UNDP’s willingness to support Zambia’s chairmanship for the African Group of Negotiators (AGN) on Climate Change, and on the formulation of the law on climate change.

This is according to a statement released by Ministry of Green Economy and Environment Communications Officer Chibaula Silwamba.
