Solwezi Central Member of Parliament Stafford Mulusa says Government will continue to construct quality infrastructure under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) in the district in order to improve the living standards of Solwezi residents.
Speaking during a handover ceremony at Kawama Primary School, Mr Mulusa said that the increase in the CDF from K1.6 million to K25.7 million will enable the construction of more classroom blocks in the district thus addressing the challenges of inadequate classroom space for learners.
Mr Mulusa said the new dawn Government has placed education as the most powerful tool in steering sustainable social and economic development in the country hence the move to introduce free education from Grade One to Grade Twelve as education is the only equalizer and a human right for all.
He noted that the introduction of free education has seen the high enrollment levels in almost all schools in Solwezi however, Government is equal to the task as more projects will be embarked on under the 2021 CDF allocation.
Mr Mulusa and entourage also handed over a maternity wing at Mushitala Clinic and inspected works at Messenger Market.
