General Solochi said ZNS is alive to the fact that Government has legalized controlled cultivation of marijuana for medicinal purposes, and the service has been identified as an institution to assist the nation in responsible production.
He was speaking during the Launch of Money Laundering, Drug, and Substance Abuse Awareness Activities for ZNS.
and, DEC Director General Mary Chirwa called on military officers that mount road blocks to be vigilant in searching and identifying drugs that may be concealed in the vessels used to transport items.
Ms. Chirwa also appealed to officers to avoid substance abuse because it undermines the value of being a uniformed officer.
She said the program is meant to bring awareness to officers on the dangers of drug abuse and exchange of information.
