Konkola Blades hold Zanaco

Promoted side Konkola Blades have held Zanaco to a frustrating draw in Saturday’s FAZ Super League match played at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe.

This Week 21 match finished 1-1 as struggling Konkola sought to survive relegation.

Zanaco gave away a 9th minute lead engineered by new signee Emmanuel Mwiinde’s goal.

Moses Menda equalised for Konkola in the 23rd minute.

Konkola have 17 points in 21 matches while Zanaco have 30 points in 23 matches.

In other games on Saturday, Red Arrows beat Green Buffaloes 3-2 to recoup their five point lead at the top of the FAZ Super Division.

Arrows have 42 points as at Week 21.

In Choma, Green Eagles have beaten Nkwazi 2-1 to stay third on the table.

Eagles led by Coach Aggrey Chiyangi have 36 points, one behind second placed Zesco United, who beat Indeni 1-0 in Ndola on Friday.
