Copperbelt among provinces to be affected by Ana

By MAIMBO MWEEMBA

The Zambia Meteorological Department says the country is expected to continue witnessing heavy rainfall due to the Tropical Storm Ana.

Meteorologist Batheba Musonda says Southern, Copperbelt and Luapula provinces will experience heavy rainfall due to the Ana tropical Storm which is currently positioned over Angola.

Ms Musonda said areas that are near Angola are bound to have these effects as the winds of the tropical storm passing through Zambia are rushing and feeding in to its low pressure.

She said that updates as to when the storm is expected to stop affecting the country, will be available after January 31.
