The Ministry of Education has announce that eighty one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight candidates have obtained Grade 12 school certificates out of the one hundred and 21,871 candidates who sat for the examination, whereas 37, 909 candidates obtained statement of results.
Speaking during the announcement of the Grade 12 2021 examination results, Education Minister Douglas Siakalima commended the Examination Council of Zambia (ECZ) for not recording any leakages.
Mr Siakalima said a total of 17 cases of suspected examination malpractices were reported which were of assistance in nature and the cases will be considered by the appropriate committee of the ECZ.
“Government will not tolerate any form of examination malpractice and anyone found wanting will be dealt with in accordance with the law, and the results will be accessible on the SMS results release system effective Saturday January 29, 2022, while e-statement of results will be accessible on the ECZ portal within 5 working days from today at no charge,” he said.
And ECZ Director Michael Chilala called upon all learners registering for examinations for grades 7, 9, 12 external and GCE to do so before February 28, 2022, explaining that the ECZ will not extend the registration period.
