A-60- year old Man of Kyawama Township in Solwezi District has died after he excessively drunk Lutuku.
North Western Province police Deputy Commissioner Fred Mulenga said Derrick Kasenzi 72, is suspected to have taken excessive Local beer called Lutuku.
Mr Mulenga said Kasenzi collapsed and died on the spot at a drinking spree.
He said the incident occurred on January 23, 2022 around 16:30 hours in Kyawama Township.
“The police in the district visited the scene and found the victim’s body laying down facing up and inspections were conducted, no physical injuries observed on the body apart from the liquid which was coming out from the mouth and nostrils, no foul play is Suspected,” he said.
Mr Mulenga said that the body has since been taken to Solwezi General Hospital mortuary awaiting post mortem to ascertain the cause of death.
