Parents urged to take advantage of free education

By Maimbo Mweemba
Science and Technology Minister Felix Mutati advised parents to take advantage of the free education that Government has provided as a way of reducing child marriages.

Mr Mutati says child marriages have continued to affect the girl child welfare, because most parents were NOT able to pay their schools fees.

Speaking when he made a personal donation of various items to Namucho Kids Service at Chondela Primary school in Katuba ward in Katuba Constituency in Lusaka today, Mr Mutati said it was pleasing that the organization was looking after an old woman aged 101 years Sarah Bubala and the youngest orphan aged one year.

He said that Government has come up with various developmental programs aimed at improving the living standards of people in communities across the country.

And, Namucho Kids Service Executive Director Felix Chisola welcomed the donation of items to the less privileged.

He said thatthe service takes care of the old people, orphans, Widows and the physically challenged.

He also appealed to Government to consider expanding Chondela School to enable more children access education.
