Red Arrows takes control of the league

Red Arrows are the new leaders in the FAZ Super Division as second round matches commence.

Arrows shot to the top of the FAZ Super Division after Saturday’s 1-0 win over champions Zesco United in Lusaka.

Substitute George Mandu scored the goal in the second half to help Arrows move to 32 points after playing 18 matches.

Arrows have dislodged Green Buffaloes from the top.

Buffaloes have dropped into second place as they remain stuck on 31 points after forcing a draw against Lusaka Dynamos last Friday.

Nkana moved into third position on the table after thumping Nkwazi 2-0 in Lusaka on Saturday.

Captain Alex Ng’onga and Jacob Ngulube scored a goal each at Edwin Imboela Stadium to help Nkana move to 29 points as at Week 18.

Green Eagles missed a chance to go second on the table after losing 2-0 at Buildcon in Ndola on Sunday.
