A-six-year-old boy of Chambishi has died on the spot after he was hit by a Likili bus as he was crossing the road.
Copperbelt Deputy Commissioner Thresphold Kasale confirmed that the accident happened when a Likili bus driven from South to North direction hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road from west to east.
Mr Kasale said the fatal accident occurred on December 29, 2021 at around 16:30hrs along Kitwe – Chingola road at Fitanda area in Chambishi.
He said involved was a Zhongtong bus for Likili Company Reg. no. BCB 2147zm which had no damages and it was being driven by Friday Sankwe 48 of Kitwe.
Mr Kasale has identified the victim as Mathews Chulu of Fitanda area in Chambishi who sustained a cut on the head, bruises on the left face and body who died on the spot.
