Police in Chingola are looking for Five unknown Armed criminals who stole undisclosed amount of money from the Director of NR hardware and supplies of Kasumbalesa Border.
The criminals who were armed with 4 pistols and an AK47 also went on to robby a-40- year-old woman of her motor vehicle, a Toyota Allion silver in colour reg no, BCD 2701 as she was reversing onto nile road and fired two shots in the air and used the same vehicle to run away from the scene.
Copperbelt Deputy Police Commissioner Tresphord Kasale said Patel Musak Abudunar 47, of flat 1 Kazenene flats Riverside Chingola an Indian National was parking his vehicle when five unknown criminals who were on foot armed with 4 pistols and an AK 47 rifle attacked him at his residence.
Mr Kasale said the victim when he drove in from Kasumbalesa where he conducts his businesses was ordered by the criminals to come out of the vehicle and robbed him of undisclosed amount of money.
He said the criminals later walked for about 1km along Nile road whilst firing and 3 of the five criminals who were armed with 2 Pistols preceded further and robbed Regina Lubumbe of house No.6494 Daghamaskjort of her vehicle.
Mr Kasale said this occurred on November 30, at around 18:45hours at Kazenene flats Nile road Riverside Chingola.
He said police visited the scene of crime and two empty cartridges of an AK 47 were picked from the first scene of the Aggravated robbery at Kazenene flats.
“Upon searching through the road up to the second scene where a motor vehicle was stolen, one live ammunition was picked and 5 meters away from where the ammunition was picked a trail of blood stains was observed indicating that one of the criminals was injured in the process.
Mr Kasale said that after analysis of the scene the trail of blood stains were followed which went into Dagoma road about 3Km up to the junction of Daghamaskjort and Kabundi roads were it disappeared suggesting that, his colleagues picked him up from there.
He said witnesses were interviewed and they confirmed what the two complainants had stated.
Mr Kasale said the motor vehicle has been recovered as it was left parked in the bush and a docket of cases opened and investigations instituted into the matter.
