Defending champions Lunga Bullets have relinquished the top spot in the Copperbelt Basketball Association Men’s Super League despite winning over the weekend.
Lunga, who recorded a 67-43 win over Warriors A, were toppled by Mufulira Magnets.
Magnets A recorded two straight wins to move to the top of the table with one round of games officially left in the season.
The Mufulira side at the weekend beat Ndola Takers 54-34 and I.C Tigers 65-41 to move to 33 points.
The Mufulira outfit’s final game is against defending champions Lunga Bullets, who are second on 32 points from 17 games played.
Third placed Spax Warriors have 30 points in 17 games after a 66-54 win over YMCA Stingers in their latest match.
Kansanshi Panthers, who have two games in hand, are placed fourth on the log with 29 points.
In the Feminine League, defending champions Spax Storm are leading with 26 points from 13 games.
Ndola Nets commands the B League on 32 points from 17 games played.
