The College of Bishops of the Christian Coalition has commended Republican President Hakainde Hichilema appointing Permanent Secretaries and other senior Government officials
The Coalition’s President Charles Mwape says the combination of the appointments has once again demonstrated the fact Government wants to reconcile the nation through one Zambia, One nation.
Professor Mwape said what is now expected from the appointed individuals is selfless service delivery to the Zambians.
“The appointment of the PS’s is a reflection that the president made the decision based on their ability to perform, we expect credibility as we do checks and balances on how they will work in various ministries,” he said.
He said the appointments should serve as an encouragement to those in opposition to remain loyal as it pays to stand with one political through thick and thin.
Professor Mwape also applauded the appointments of the UPND loyalists to various government positions.
