Police in Lundazi have arrested a- 57- year-old Male Nurse of Lundazi District Hospital for the allegedly Murder of his patient.
Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said that Charles Mazyopa has been detained in connection with the allegedly murder of Christopher Theo 30, of Diwa Compound in Lundazi.
Mr Hamoonga said brief facts of the matter are that the victim was admitted in hospital on October 25, 2021 and November 2, 2021 and the accused slapped the victim twice.
He said the victim later started bleeding through his nostrils and died after four hours.
Meanwhile arrangements are being made for exhumation by the state pathologist as the relatives had buried without a postmortem being done.
The matter was reported by the mother to the victim Selina Banda 57. Police are investigating the matter.
