Some motorists who use Chingola Chililabombwe road have appealed to Government to prioritize working on the road before the onset of the rainy season.

Motorists say the road is in a deplorable state and Government should quickly intervene and work on the road.

One of the motorists working from Chililabombwe, Councilor Martin Lombe said that the road is in a bad state and if not attended to, Road Traffic Accidents (RTA) will likely increase and fatal accidents will be rampant.

“Am one of the motorist who committees daily on this road and I can say that the road needs to be constructed immediately before the rainy season commences,” he said.

Mr Lombe appealed to Government to find resources immediately and reconstructing the Chingola Chililabombwe road.

He has called on the Member of Parliament for Chililabombwe Paul Kabuswe who is also the Minister of Mines to intervene in the matter so that the road can be worked on.

And another motorist Robison Kaunda disclosed his fears that if the road is not worked on, fatal accidents will be recorded because the road is slowly becoming impassable.
