Green Buffaloes runs unbeaten in 8 Matches

By CHINOYI CHIPULU
Green Buffaloes coach Justin Chinama says his team is heading in the right direction after extending their unbeaten run to eight matches following a 1-all draw with Zesco United.

Buffaloes have won six times and drawn twice so far this season.

Last Saturday champions Zesco United scored a late penalty to deny the soldiers maximum points at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Leaders Buffaloes moved to 20 points, five clear of Nkwazi, who overcame Power Dynamos 1-0 in Lusaka.
Chinama said in Ndola after the draw that Buffaloes are doing well because the team has been together for a long time and his charges are now ripe to challenge for honours.

“The squad that we have can take us very far.I think we have a team at Buffaloes. The sky is not the limit it is a starting point. We will keep on encouraging the boys so that they do not lose focus and so that we can continue collecting maximum points. We have a team that can continue giving us the results that we desire as Buffaloes.

“We have done badly in the previous seasons but this time we have said let us make a difference and we have agreed as a technical bench and players that indeed we should make a difference this year and so far so good we are on the right path,” Chinama said.

He said picking a point away from home against a team like Zesco is not a bad result.

Chinama said dropping two points in Ndola will not disturb the momentum his team is currently enjoying.
