Zambia national team striker Patson Daka has been nominated for the UEFA Europa League player of the week.
This follows Daka’s stellar performance for Leicester City against Spartak Moscow which saw him score four goals including a record-breaking nine-minute hat-trick.
With four goals, Daka became the Leicester City’s joint-highest goalscorer in European competition. He did so in front of 25 travelling supporters, with a number of them there to support their Zambian hero.
The 23-year- old also put his name in the record books after his haul on Wednesday as the first Leicester City player to score four goals in a game since Derek Hines in 1958
