Zesco United have moved into second place in the FAZ Super Division after thrashing Kansanshi Dynamos 4-0 in Ndola on Wednesday.

Zesco’s third win of the season pushed them to 12 points after playing six matches.

Coach Mumamba Numba’s boys are seven points behind leaders Green Buffaloes, whom they host in their next match on Saturday.

A goal each from Thabani Kamusoko, Jesse Were, Solomon Sakala and Dickson Chapa propelled Zesco to victory at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Forward Kamusoko handed Zesco a 1-0 lead after 25 minutes when he was set up by defender Samson Mkandawire.

Substitute Were made it 2-0 with a 57th minute fine strike just two minutes after coming in for Winston Kalengo.

Defender Sakala scored goal number three in the 83rd minute before midfielder Chapa completed the scoring spree three minutes into second half stoppage time.

Meanwhile, Kansanshi stayed 11th on the table with seven points from six matches.
