Business and Economist analyst Kelvin Chisanga is optimistic that Zambia’s economy will witness tremendous transformation with trade, following the removal of the country from the United Kingdom’s covid-19 red list.
Speaking in an interview with the Independent Observer, Mr Chisanga explains that travel restrictions to the UK have had a negative effect on trade especially that the country is Zambia’s major external trading partner.
He said this will increase movement activities as people will now travel for business freely and will help to rebuild the country’s economy with most industries that will largely benefit from this move.
“ There actually a number of benefits that we get from support of UK, not only that we have a very strong political diplomacy which is supposed to be sustained, so looking at all these things I think the country will able to witness rapid growth transformation,” he said.
He said there is need for participation for each player lighting to do the best if the economy is to be sustained.
