President Hakainde Hichilema says that the K635 Million Agriculture investment initiative that has just been launched between the European Union (European Investment Bank) and ZANACO, will be utilized with transparency and accountability.
Mr Hichilema said it is a milestone in the quest for job creation, but also a confirmation of our economic diplomacy which he has been talking about.
He said this Initiative will benefit a lot of small, medium enterprises mainly engaged in the Agriculture sector as it will improve farmers’ accessibility to affordable financing. This will in turn lead to job creation.
” Once more we are grateful to EIB and ZANACO for this joint venture as this is what we have been talking about and in order to have more of such support, we will continue with our economic diplomacy. Jobs, business opportunities, education and quality health care services are coming,” he said.
