Chipepo set to be appointed Power Coach after ditching Indeni

Indeni Coach Mwenya Chipepo has ditched the Ndola outfit barely a year in-charge to take over the mantle at Power Dynamos.

Chipepo leaves the Ndola side seventh on the Super Division table with eight points.

Chipepo ditched Prison Leopards to join Indeni who parted ways with Dabid Chilufya in February.

Indeni confirmed the departure of Chipepo in a statement made available to the Independent Observer by club media and communications manager Chella Silavwe.

“Indeni would like to inform the football fraternity, stakeholders that Chipepo has today resigned from his position as head coach and has since left the club,”read the statement.

He said assistant coach Frank Miti will be in-charge of the team in an interim capacity.

Miti formerly of Prison will take charge of the team for the first time when they face Kabwe Warriors in a rescheduled Week One encounter on Saturday at Trade Fair Ground.

Chipepo,a former Young Power trainer is expected to be unveiled as new head coach at Power.

The Kitwe giants fired their entire technical bench led by former international Masautso Tembo last week.

Power have so far roped in club legend Linos Makwaza Snr from National Division One side Jumulo.

Makwaza Snr whose son Linos Jnr is also on the books of Power will be one of the assistants at Arthur Davies Stadium.
