Unbeaten Shepolopolo will face Tanzania in the semifinals of the COSAFA Women’s Championship in South Africa after winning Group C with a record nine points.
The Zambian women qualified to the semifinals with flying colours after beating guest nation Uganda 1-0 in their final group match at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Tuesday.
Captain and striker Grace Chanda scored the goal against Uganda as Zambia recorded their third win.
Zambia had earlier in Group C beaten Eswatini 5-0 and Namibia 3-0 in their first two matches.
Zambia’s semifinal clash against Tanzania is on Thursday at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium at 12:00 hours.
Tanzania reached the semifinals after winning Group B.
Hosts and champions South Africa will face Malawi in the second semifinal match at 15h00.
