Serenje Town Council Chairperson Staivous Mulumba has told Serenje based pastors to feel free to be visiting his office to discuss matters affecting members of the community.
Speaking when he held consultative meeting with 43 Serenje based Clergymen, the Council Chairperson said he will not work in isolation with religious leaders.
He said religious leaders should freely advise him during his tenure of office especially on matters affecting Serenje residents.
“I will run an open door policy where everyone is free to come through and engage my office on issues affecting our people,” he said.
Mr Mulumba also said that he is ready to work with the new Government and President Hichilema for people to benefit the good policies of the Government of the day.
He has assured the residents to execute his duties fairly during his tenure of office.
