By Maimbo Mweemba
The Zambia women’s Under-20 national football team will this afternoon lock horns with neighbors Malawi in the first leg of the 2022 Cost Rica World Cup Qualifier fixture to be played at the Nkoloma stadium.

The encounter that kicks off at 15:00 hours will see the two teams begin their pursuit of a world Cup berth at the U-20 level.

The Junior Shepolopolo will be guided by Captain Evarine Katongo, who was part of the team that participated in the Tokyo Olympic Games.

And speaking during the pre-match press conference Shepolopolo Under-20 Coach Charles Haluboono said the team is in high spirit as they target a win against Malawi this afternoon.

His Malawian Counterpart Maggie Chombo said her charges aim to cause an upset for the home side before the reverse fixture to be played in Lilongwe in October.
