Kamfinsa MP calls for togetherness amongest parliamentarians

By MAIMBO MWEEMBA
PF’s Kamfinsa Member of Parliament Christopher Kang’ombe has called on all Members of Parliament to embrace the spirit of oneness and togetherness irrespective of political party affiliation.

Mr Kang’ombe said the elected Parliamentarians must ensure that they represent their people diligently.

He also thanked the residents of Kamfinsa for entrusting him to represent them in parliament.

“ I promised the people that I will represent them in parliament, and this I will do, I am still the  same genuine person I was, I still carry the same compassion of caring for my community and the needy, to the Zambians across, you can count on me to debate objectively” he said.

He said that the challenges that the people of Kamfinsa will be his driving force to debate in the house.

Mr Kang’ombe also reminded government that young people are expectant of jobs and business opportunities that were promised.

Speaking when he delivered his maiden speech in parliament, Mr Kang’ombe said there is need for government to explain the abolishment of the ministry of chiefs and traditional affairs, as this was a vital ministry.

“We are mindful that the current government has a manifesto to implement, and we are ready to support you, we are ready to see these ministries achieve their goals for the people of Zambia, but this should not be done at the expense of other ministries such as the ministry of higher education, which focused on the needs of higher education, as we sort out one problem; let us not create another one, we do hope that the ministry of education will rise to the occasion to continue the works of the higher education ministry,” he said.

Mr Kang’ombe hopes the country does not live to regret the abolishment of some of the important ministries that were created.

He also wished success to government as they strive to work for the good of the Zambian people.
