SeedCo Zambia has urged farmers across the country to embrace digital technology platforms to enable them access vital information on agriculture.
Seedco General Manager Guntila Muleya says the company has created an online application for farmers to purchase their various products.
Mr Muleya said technology in agriculture provides convenience to farmers and the new platform will save farmers time as they will purchase seed online that will be delivered to their various locations.
Mr Muleya was said this after the launch of the SeedCo e-commerce website in Lusaka
And Mercury Group of Companies Chief Executive Officer Vikas Kumar said the company has provided logistical support to support SeedCo’s online platform.
Meanwhile C Grate Zambia Corporate Sales Coordinator Duduzile Dimingo said mobile transactions must be encouraged in the Agriculture sector as they are safer than physical cash.
