Numba Confident despite Zesco Utd Loss

By Mercy Chewe
Coach Mumamba Numba is confident his club will overturn the 1-0 loss to Royal Leopards of Eswatini in the away CAF Champions League match played on Saturday.
Defender Solomon Sakala scored an own goal in this first leg match of the preliminary round.
In a post match, Numba said Zesco must blame themselves for failing to score from many chances created.
“We created numerous chances but unfortunately we could not convert those chances. We were not clinical at goal so we just have to blame ourselves for the loss,” he said.
Numba expressed confidence that Zesco will reverse the loss to Leopards in this weekends return match at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
“Ofcourse it won’t be an easy game but we have a team that can turn the tables. I think losing 1-0 is something that we can offset as we go back to Zambia,” he said.
Zesco have returned to the CAF Champions League after a one season absence.
