United States Charge d’Affaires David Young says that President Hakainde Hichilema has shown he is putting in place a lean cabinet which is focused on key Government priorities.
Mr Young said that his country is ready to work and strengthen the partnership with Zambia under President Hichilema in the new areas of focus.
Mr Young said that the cooperation between the Zambia and the US can help to strengthen democracy, support economic revitalization and create opportunities for the young people.
“The US will continue to support investment in the young people through health and education and also security through the peace keeping missions, my country is ready to engage the new cabinet on its Governments vision,” he said.
Mr Young said that he is expectant that President Hichilema will share his vision for the country and how he will address the various challenges that Zambia is faced with once he visits the United States for the UN general assembly in New York.
