Green Eagles signs 7 new players

Super Division Side Green Eagles have bolstered their team with the signing of seven players among them striker Simon Mulenga ahead of the season.

Other that have joined the Aggrey Chiyangi drilled side are midfielders Nsofwa Mwansa, Passmore Mwise, defenders Jimmy Nakena, Shapy Chikondi, Elvis Lumbwe and Reegan Simango.

According to a statement released by Club Media and Communications Officer Faith Kaira, the new players have joined the club on permanent basis.

“Green Eagles Football Club has acquired the services of seven players on permanent basis in a quest to beef up its squad ahead of the 2021-2022 MTN/FAZ Super League,” Kaira said.

Nsofwa, Nakena, Chikondi and Mwise have joined from Buildcon, Lumwana Radiants, National Assembly and Zambeef while Lumbwe and Simango are formerly of Young Riders and Lusaka Dynamos respectively.

Mulenga was on the books of Nkana last season.
Kaira said the club has further released four players among them Striker Ronald Chibwe.
Chibwe has been offloaded alongside Midfielder Joseph Mwindilila, Defender Benson Nzuma and Left-back Matthews Ngoma.
Eagles have registered 34 players for the forthcoming season which kicks off this weekend.
