The Pensions and Insurance Authority says has challenged insurance companies to make insurance relevant to an average consumer through innovative and interactive platforms.
Acting registrar Namakau Ntini said solutions such as digital platform innovations could help to promote financial inclusion.
Ms Ntini said digital platforms are necessary in light of Covid-19 pandemic that is disrupting the conduct of business.
She was speaking during the opening of the first ever digital branch in the insurance market by Professional Insurance at Manda hill in Lusaka last evening.
And Professional Insurance Managing Director Moses Siame said the newly opened branch will enable the company to provide a consolidated user interactive platform.
He said the digital platform is necessary in light of COVID 19 pandemic that is disrupting the conduct of business.
