The International Monetary Fund (IMF) resident representative Preya Sharma yesterday held her first bilateral engagement meeting with Finance Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane
The Bilateral meeting was called to discuss various aspects of strengthening the partnership between Zambia and the Fund.
The bilateral engagement comes a few days after Zambia received USD 1. 3 billion, from the USD 650 billion IMF Special Drawing Rights (SDR) general allocation.
The resources from the IMF are meant to assist the country to attain the development aspirations and lead to economic stabilization and positive growth.
