UPND Frank Tayali wins Ndola Central seat

United Party for National Development (UPND) candidate Frank Tayali has won the Ndola Central parliamentary seat.

Returning Officer Joseph Kabwesha declared Mr Tayali winner after scoring 22,907 votes against his closest rival Brenda Mwamba of Patriotic Front who polled18,826.

Mr Kabwesha announced that 44, 645 votes were cast in Ndola constituency and 682 be were rejected ballots.

And Mr Tayali has called on residents to present new ideas to his office in order to help better their lives.

“Im grateful to those who voted for me. Politics is not a career but a service to the people. To my closest rival, I want to encourage you to stay focused because women have a special place in our country is,”he said.

Ndola Central has a total of 94 polling stations.
