The Immigration Ladies Foundation lauched

Vice President Inonge Wina has commended the Immigration Ladies Foundation for complimenting Government’s efforts in promoting gender equality and empowerment of women and girls.

Mrs Wina expressed happiness that the Foundation already has success stories of helping the less privileged in society.

She also encouraged the women to focus on the purpose for which the Foundation is established by embracing teamwork and having a greater vision for the future.

Mrs Wina expressed happiness that the Foundation already has success stories of helping the less privileged in society.

She also encouraged the women to focus on the purpose for which the Foundation is established by embracing teamwork and having a greater vision for the future.

Mrs Wina was speaking during the official launch of the Immigration Ladies Foundation in Lusaka today.

“I want has called upon the Ministry of Home Affairs Permanent Secretary and the Immigration Management to make sure that the Immigration Ladies Foundation is assisted to embark on projects at local, Provincial and national levels, I would like request the Ladies to update us on the progress the Foundation is making so that she can help to grow the Immigration Ladies Foundation to greater heights,” she said.

Mrs Wina further urged the women to embrace the spirit of sacrifice, love and service to humanity.

And Immigration Ladies Foundation Patron Pelekelo Lungu said Mrs  Wina’s efforts in improving the likelihood of women and children has been a source of great inspiration to the Foundation.

Ms Lungu added that the Foundation is currently constructing a dormitory at Katoba Secondary school in Chongwe and that it’s expected to be handed over in 2022.
