Newly appointed Zanaco coach Kelvin Kaindu has expressed concern that the Bankers have not won the FAZ Super Division title in the last five years.
Zanaco last won the league title in 2016.
In the ended 2020/21 season, the Lusaka based club finished second in the league to qualify for the CAF Champions League.
“I think if we can organise ourselves and focus and probably try and get what we want to achieve at the end of the day. Hopefully we push for the championship,” said Kaindu.
“I think it is a concern for a big team like Zanaco to go six years without winning a championship,” he told the Zanaco media.
Kaindu has promised to make some changes to the Zanaco squad.
He further hopes to see Zanaco excel in the Champions League.
“We need to consolidate our position in the Champions League. We have been there and we are just hoping that maybe we can improve in the way we perform in the Confederation and the Champions League,” Kaindu said.
Kaindu has taken over the Zanaco coaching job from Chris Kaunda who left the club on a mutual agreement last week.
