UPND Tumvwanganai ward Councillor resigns

Solwezi’s UPND Tumvwanganai ward councilor Kyapalushi Kapatamoyo has resigned from her position.

Ms Kapatamoyo who was the only female Councillor at the Solwezi Municipal Council has since resigned from active politics and ceased to be a member of any political party.

According to a letter dated September 10, 2018 addressed to Solwezi Mayor Nicholas Mukumbi and availed to ZANIS in Solwezi, Ms Kapatamoyo cited personal reasons for her resignation.

“I Kyapalushi Kapatamoyo ward councilor for Tumvwanganai ward hereby notify your office that I resign as Ward Councillor based on personal reasons.

“I will no longer actively participate in politics and cease to be a member of any political party and further disassociate myself with any political party,” She said.

She has thanked the UPND leadership for the opportunity rendered to her to serve the people of Tumvwanganai ward and wished her former party well.

Ms Kapatamoyo has been represented the people of Tumvwanganai ward since her election to the council in 2016.
