UPND Maiteneke Candidate promise to connect sewer lines in the area

UPND Maiteneke ward candidate Walter Chizuma says that he will ensure that the sewer system in Maiteneke is connected for sanitation gives decency to people.

Mr Chizuma said that he will also ensure that people are provided with clean drinking water through the utility company and he will work on access roads in the ward.

He said water is an issue and people have resorted to shallow wells which is not safe.

Mr Chizuma said that once elected he will ensure that people are connected to safe clean drinking water.

Mr Chizuma said that during his door to door campaign he has seen suffering in a number of households adding people are faced with a lot of challenges which he wants to address once elected.

He said the cost of living for each house hold is high and UPND will ensure that once elected, the cost of living is normalized.

Mr Chizuma said the issue of unemployment for youths who have restored to illegal mining in the open pit mines will be looked into as the act endangers their lives.

“I want to ensure that the vulnerable in the community are helped through the program initiated by the government. The old aged will also be assisted for them to have something to eat at the end of the day,” he said.
