DP won’t bow to police IG’s directive- Judith Kabemba

By Staff Writer
Democratic Party Vice president Judith Kabemba has accused the Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja to be the worst and failed IG Zambia has ever had.

Ms Kabemba said the statement released by Mr Kanganja to bar opposition political parties from distributing masks is a recipe for anarchy.

She said DP takes the statement from Mr Kanganja as a political rhetoric and shall not bow to it.

“As DP, we are Zambians with rights of association therefore we shall proceed with our market visits and other places and not even him Mr Kanganja will stop us as long as President Lungu who is also  a Presidential candidate is doing it or any other PF candidate and members. We shall stand  strong until Zambia is liberated,” she said.

Ms Kabemba said that the IG should have started by acting professionally when President Lungu started to distribute masks in Bauleni, Mtendere and other areas.

“Unfortunately Mr Kanganja didn’t because he wants to keep his Job at the expense of the seventeen million Zambians who are suffering.  This man has betrayed his job as a Police Officer and the oath he took,” he said.

Ms Kabemba has also accused Mr Kanganja of intimidating and abusing police officers.
