Uphold peace and unity urges police IG

The Zambia Police Service has carried out a sensitization match past in Lusaka to advocate for peace.

Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja says there is need for the public to be educated about the importance of having a peaceful election.

Mr Kanganja says lives lost due to violence will never be gained hence the need to continue preaching peace.

“I want to advise the public not to take the law into their own hands,  it is important for all stakeholder to promote the One Zambia One Nation motto,” he said.

Mr Kanganja said the police wants to ensure a smooth and peaceful election process free of violence.

He was speaking during the match past in Mtendere and Matero compounds of Lusaka.
