Ministry of health says they have administered 13,282 Dose 1 and 3,782 Dose 2 AstraZeneca vaccinations.
Health ministry permanent secretary technical services Kennedy Malama said cumulative number of vaccinations to date now stands at 202,690 doses.
Dr Malama said that the country also recorded the lowest positivity of 16% since 20th June 2021, adding the ministry will continue to monitor closely the trend
“We do indeed see light at the end of the tunnel and we must jealously guard against losing sight of it by not letting down our guard at individual, family, institutional, community and country level,” he said.
Dr Malama said that in the last 24 hours the country recorded 1,215 new confirmed Covid-19 cases out of 7,507, this brings the Cumulative Number of Covid-19 183,344.
He added that 31 new Covid-19 related deaths were also recorded in the last 24 hours, bring the total cumulative number of Covid-19 related deaths to 3,022.
