FAZ General Secretary resume duties

By IREEN MULENGA
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) says that the administrative leave for the General Secretary Adrian Kashala has come to an end.

The SG was sent on leave last month following circular detailing decisions issued by the secretariat over Nkana’s complaint on Young Green Eagles, alleged use of an ineligible player, suspension of Indeni coach and Kashikishi Warriors for physically abusing officials.

Mr Kashala returns to the office today after serving the suspension.

The FAZ President Andrew Kamanga said the Executive Committee had since been notified on the return of the General Secretary.

“The General Secretary who had proceeded on administrative leave resumes duties tomorrow,” he said.

Mr Kamanga said that the FAZ Vice President Dr Justin Mumba shall represent the Association during the upcoming CAF Meeting in Morocco on July 17, 2021 that will coincide with the CAF Champions League final between Al Ahly and Kaizer Chiefs.

He thanked all football stakeholders for their patience during the absence of the General Secretary.

This is contained in a statement issued by FAZ Communications Manager Sydney Mungala.
