Zambians praised for peaceful mourning KK

Information and Broadcasting Services Permanent Secretary Amos Malupenga says Government is impressed with the peaceful way; Zambians are paying their last respects to First President Kenneth Kaunda.

Mr Malupenga said there was no form of violence or politicking in Southern Province when Dr Kaunda’s body was flown to Choma and that this should be the case throughout the country.

Government is making efforts to decongest the funeral house of Dr. Kaunda in respect of the Covid-19 health guidelines; the book of condolences at the funeral house has been restricted to dignitaries to decongest the area,” he said

Mr Malupenga said members of the public should sign the book of condolences at the First President’s office 21A Serval Road in Kabulonga.

Mr Malupenga was speaking  shortly after the departure of Dr Kaunda’s body to Mongu Western Province.
