Government has delivered assorted Educational materials to 86 schools in Chilubi District of Northern Province in its quest to help vulnerable learners especially girl children.
Delivered tools include computers , furniture, lab equipment and creative technological equipment among others.
The gesture responds to many educational challenges that the district has had for so many many years .
And speaking when receiving the materials Chilubi District Commissioner Mr. Gilbert Mwila advised schools to ensure that they were well guarded and put to good use .
“Please let these materials benefit the generations to come and impact positively in educating our children and ultimately reduce poverty levels . PF government under President Edgar Lungu believes that an educated population is a wealthy one and that education is a strongest equalizer and therefore given priority .” Said Mr. Mwila.
He further urged all the schools to take keen interest in explaining President Edgar Lungu’s good will to all the people of Chilubi .
Since the Patriotic Front (PF) assumes office Chilubi district has witnessed 7 additional secondary schools, one modern boarding secondary school and Santa Maria day school which is still under construction.
Meanwhile the DC has sent his deepest condolences to the family of the first Republican President Dr. Kenneth Kaunda .
He said his death was a huge blow to the country and the world at large .
He has further implored Chilubi residents to continue mourning and celebrating the life of Dr. Kaunda .
