Ndola Teaching Hospital Senior Medical Superintendent Joseph Musowoya has Commended the Disaster Management and Mitigation unit (DMMU) for the support it has has continued to render to the hospital and the health Sector.
Dr Musowoya said that during the first and second phases of the Covid-19 pandemic the Hospital was constrained as most of its resources where being channeled towards the purchase of Oxygen.
He said the situation which resulted in other services being at risk of not being attend to.
Dr Musowoya said that during the Covid19 DMMU donated medical equipment such as patient monitors, Covid19 essentials and has on Numerous times donated, bags of Mealie Meal to support the hospital’s feeding program.
“we are in need of support from every sector and DMMU has come in so handy and we are very thankful and there is need for continued collaborations so that our work is made efficient in order for us to provide a quality service to our patients” he said.
