The Anglican Church in Livingstone has praised political parties in Zambia for running peaceful campaigns.

Livingstone’s Saint Andrews Anglican Church Parish Priest Yobo Jere says that the campaigns have so far not recorded any serious political violence, something that must be appreciated.

“I wish to encourage all politicians in the country to continue with the same spirit through to the August 12 polls.

And, Roman Catholic Church, Our Lady of Angels Parish Priest Michael Mumba thanked Zambian political parties for conducting peaceful campaigns.

“The church remains positive that the campaigns will remain peaceful until August 12, I also want urge Zambians to work together in promoting peace and unity in the country even if they belong to different political parties,” he said.
