The Forum for Democracy and Development leader Edith Nawakwi (FDD) has endorsed President Edgar Lungu and his Running Mate Nkandu Luo ahead of the August 12 General Election.
Ms Nawakwi said the move follows her party’s resolutions made at a convention, were it was decided that President Lungu is the only credible candidate for the August polls.
“President Lungu should be supported by all women in the country because he has revived the fish project to incorporate women; he has also gone as far as Lunga District in Luapula Province to support poor women,” she said.
Ms Nawakwi said that other political leaders have nothing to offer even if they are claiming and basing their campaigns on reviving the economy.
