Stay calm, Copperbelt Police Chief assures Chingola

By JOHN SAKALA
Coperbelt Police Chief Elias Chushi has advised Chingola residents to stay calm following the hacking incidence.

Mr Chushi said the hacking in Chingola South, was one of the isolated incidences and police have already moved in to corner the suspect.

He told The Independent Observer that in the near past there was another aggrieved boyfriend who went to hack his ex girlfriend.

“We later moved in, arrested the suspect and the District has been quiet.

“In the similar manner, I want to assure the residents of Chingola that they are safe because this is an isolated incident and not like those recorded last year. I have activated my officers on the ground to keep vigil as we corner the lone suspect that attacked the three members of the same family,” he said.

In the early hours of today May 31, 2021, a lone attacker aimed with an axe without handle, hacked three members of the same family.

Those hacked were husband, wife and a baby aged 2.

Currently, they are in admission at Nchanga North General hospital.
