5 date Chililabombwe Constituency

Six parliamentary candidates have successfully filled in their nominations in Chililabobwe ready for the August 12 elections.

Chililabobwe District Electrol Officer Micheal Katebe opened the centre at 09:00 hours.

The first to file in was PF candidate Richard Musukwa at the Civic Centre

He was accompanied by 15 supporters and party officials while a crowd of people where waiting for him outside.

The second to file in the nomination was a 25 year-old lady Ruth Luapula from the Socialist Party who was the only lady.

Ms Luapula confidently said that she will bring in fresh mind to the political scene.

She said that she wants to bring in a platform where youths can make decisions.

She believes the youth are a key to unlock untaped potential.

And UPND candidate Paul Kabuswe was the third person to file in his nominations.

others are Democratic Party’s Vincent Besa who says that Chililabobwe has the potential to develop with good leadership.

Abraham Simpamba an Independent Candidate said that he will ensure that the market at the board is put into good use to get the maximum resources.

And Rev Vincent Hamanda from the New Heritage Party said that he will ensure that the issues of Vedanta and ZCCH-I to is delt with once and for all.

The nominations where free from violence and the center was closed at 15:00.
