Malanji files in for Kwacha

By NCHIMUNYA MIYOBA in Kitwe
The Patriotic Front parliamentary candidate for Kitwe’s Kwacha constituency Joseph Malanji has successfully filed in his nomination.

Mr Malanji who arrived at Kwacha primary school around 13:30hrs was greeted by hundreds of his supporters and some Copperbelt University students who came to offer solidarity.

Shortly after filing his nomination Mr Malanji said electorates need to choose wisely as  this year’s election is not a mere academic exercise but election of voting people who can deliver.

He said residents of Kitwe need to vote for leaders who can bring development to the area as he has been doing in the past years.

“Residents have to choose wisely. This is not the time to politic but to work hard. People who are standing from various political parties should be equal to the task. Owning a jacket and trousers can’t make you a Member of Parliament. People have to vote into office leaders that mean well,” he said.

And Mr Mlanji has commended the Electoral Commission of Zambia for running the exercise smoothly.

He said he was impressed on how efficient the ECZ team at Kwacha primary had carried out the process.
