Police in Lusaka have arrested Mubita Christopher Nawa for Defamation of the President.
This is contrary to Section 69 of the Penal Code chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia.
Mr. Nawa 45 of Lusaka West was arrested today for the offence of defamation of the President.
Deputy Police Public Relations officer Danny Mwale has confirmed.
“This is in line with the video which was posted on social media platforms recently. He is currently detained in Police custody,” said Mr. Mwale.
Meanwhile Mr. Mwale said Economic and Equity party president Chilufya Tayali is still in Police custody awaiting court appearance.
