Kitwe United beats Nkana 2-1

Relegation threatened and bottom side Kitwe United have beaten rivals Nkana 2-1 to record their first win of the season.
Kitwe, who have changed coaches three times this season finally managed to pick up maximum points in dramatic fashion against Nkana at Arthur Davies Stadium.
Nkana took the lead as early as the second minute through Freddy Tshimenga in the lunch time kickoff which was televised on SuperSport.
The visitors created a lot of scoring opportunities after taking the lead but striker Emmanuel Mwiinde,Ackim Mumba and Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba were all guilty of missing clear cut chances to bury the game.
With Nkana not increasing their lead,Kitwe continued pushing forward and their efforts paid off against the run of play when substitute Clive Biyeta drew them level on 68 minutes.
Kitwe, who are now used to either losing or drawing, however stunned Nkana at death after Zimbabwean goalkeeper Talbert Shumba dropped a tame Monday Bwalya corner into his own net to send the home side in wild celebrations.
The pandemonium of celebrations were justified as Kitwe had gone 21 matches without testing victory.
‘Buchi Boys’ Kitwe lost 13 times and drew eight matches before yesterday’s win.
Kitwe moved to 11 points while Nkana whose struggles continued also consolidated their stay in the relegation zone.
